Mr. Dan Le
Athletic – Aesthete – Hard Working
“Students shouldn’t care about the scores. As long as they do their best on everything they work on then they’re the best already. They've done a lot already.”
For the first release of this newspaper segment, we interviewed the one and only: Mr. Dan Le! Single-handedly managing the chaos in Study Hall is no small feat, but did you know he used to play in the Volleyball National League for England? His time in England was a cherished part of his life. He hopes for a revisit in the future with the top location being the Newcastle Business School, where he had majored in Business.
In the earlier years of his education, he had been a shy and closed off student that the teacher trusted as the class representative. Like a model student, his dedication and enthusiasm for learning for the sake of knowledge itself, earned him trust amongst his teachers. Personal

In his spare time, he finds joy in collecting vespas, of which he currently owns 10!
Although Mr. Dan Le loves his first choice for a job (where he is now), his close second would be fixing vintage vespas. His birthday is coming right up on January 5th, so prepare those vespas :))
Out of the skills, Mr. Dan wants to learn how to properly take apart and reassemble these vehicles because of his fascination with their inner workings. That’s one thing for our aspiring engineering students to look into as well!
If not the Vespa life, then he has plans to go to the mountains and teach English to the local people, especially ethnic minority children after retiring from SSIS.
Looking for more perspectives for volleyball?
Mr. Dan Le had once coached in 2016, passing on his passions for the sport to the new generation.
Profession

It is not just his ability to supervise that sets Mr. Dan apart, but also his genuine care for each student. With a long experience working at SSIS, one of the challenges that he faces includes students who don't listen when he tells them to keep the volume down or those who joke around without a care for other people's space and needs. However, he says that he accepts it because it’s part of the job.
Based on Mr. Dan Le's valuable experience, his advice to students is that at their current stage of youth, it is more crucial to focus on developing their personal qualities rather than solely pursuing grades or academic scores.
Potential: We will be sending a form out for any recommendation for the next teacher, if you want to contribute, make sure to fill in the form on “the date….” for your teacher being potentially picked.
